Hidden gem
We stayed for 2 nights in a twin room and it met our needs. The beds were comfy, and the room was well-equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast was top-notch! the bar area was cozy for evening drinks. Just wish the mixed veg portions were a little more generous during dinner. Still, would totally recommend it!

staff were lovely and super welcoming. rooms were clean n well equipped. the location was perfect for cycling n had secure bike storage. breakfast was fab, especially the black pudding! highly recommend the cornish pasties from the butchers opposite.
the room felt a bit dated and could use some updating, also the ensuite bathroom was in need of a refresh.

The quick check-in process was impressive, especially with the bar buzzing with activity, and the selection of real ales was a highlight. The room was comfortable, but a bit cramped for those with larger luggage, although the cleanliness was commendable. Service issues occurred during our lunch visit, where the meal took a while to arrive and felt rather standard, which detracted from the experience.
